Ferdi Şen was born in 1997 in Nazilli, a town in Aydın, Turkey, and is an only child. As a kid his favorite toys were remote-control cars and a Neil Armstrong action figure; he grew up watching Ice Age, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Scooby-Doo. His family had a budgie at home named Şirin and a cat named Medya. He went to Nazilli Aydoğdu Primary School and then completed high school in the language track at Mehmet Akif Ersoy Anadolu Lisesi. He moved to Kocaeli for university, where he graduated in Radio, TV and Cinema from Kocaeli University's Faculty of Communication. The years he spent behind the camera made him love video production not just as a job, but as a way of telling stories.

He has over ten years of professional experience in editing and video production for TV channels and the advertising industry. Throughout his career, he's worked on video production and digital media projects for corporate and international companies — he's quite experienced in media production. He's produced videos for municipalities, governorates, ministries, and embassies; worked with TV channels and advertising agencies, at times alongside well-known actors. He's managed YouTube channels and led content/community management for social media platforms like Instagram and YouTube. He's produced promotional films, ad films, and social media projects for companies across many sectors — automotive, construction, chemicals, industry, manufacturing, and healthcare — and taken part in organizing events for numerous industrial companies and institutions.

During his university years, he served as Production Director and student leader at Kocaeli University Radio for three years; he received an honor certificate from his university for his academic success and high grades. He's also a licensed drone pilot with roughly 1,000 hours of drone flight experience.

In Turkey, he worked in video production and post-production at agencies such as Luvis Digital, taking part in projects ranging from brand films and event coverage to after-movie editing and social media content.

Today he lives in Cologne, Germany. He came here with the Chancenkarte (Opportunity Card), building his work and residency process step by step in a new country. He's married to Şimal, and they're currently going through the family reunification process together.

Professionally, he works as Digital Marketing Manager at PIA Advice, managing the company's digital communication, social media, and content production processes. Alongside that, he shares his own journey of building a new life in Germany through his brand "Almanya'dan Sevgilerle" ("With Love from Germany") — because he knows many people are going through this experience too, often alone.

Character & Interests

He thinks his biggest strength is not giving up; he also knows that good intentions can sometimes turn into a weakness, but he still likes taking risks and working with a perfectionist streak. Food-wise, he loves Aegean cuisine, and tea is his drink of choice. In his free time he plays guitar, bass, and acoustic guitar, and he's into analog photography. He plays Counter-Strike now and then. His favorite shows include Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, Game of Thrones, The Walking Dead, and Vikings: Valhalla; his favorite directors are Christopher Nolan and Quentin Tarantino.
